St. Helens Event Recap: January 17, 2010: We had a group of 65 adventure seekers Snowshoe to June Lake on Mt. St. Helen's. It was a fabulous day with beautiful scenery and amazing people! Our youngest snowshoe trekker, Josephine was 11 years old and our oldest, Lela, 65 years young. Plus one participant, Lisa Lengacher, celebrated her birthday with all of us too so it was a very special day. Oso, Sherri's new puppy, came along for the ride too. It was so relaxing and great quality time to just ride the bus there and back. We'll definitely keep doing that year after year. The snow wasn't as good as in year's past but there was enough to get a true snowshoe experience and the most important part was we were up in the mountains breathing fresh air, and oxygenating and cleansing our systems. Good for the mind, body and spirit!
